South Daytona is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and South Daytona follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I went in multiple times within a 3 day span not knowing what I needed and made myself look like a fool. I knew a few things I was interested in since it was a Father’s Day gift for my dad and where I’m from (southern IL - 15 hour drive) we don’t have many pet stores and only one had salt water which they haven’t had for 6 months and a few more to go due to renovations. This place in Daytona Florida helped guide me to what I can get because it’s a surprise so I couldn’t just ask my dad. They were very helpful and explained what each fish/shrimp/cleaner did. I asked if they could survive in our condo overnight because we would be leaving when they were still closed, and they were kind enough to fast the fish in their tanks for a few days so they would feel comfortable still. The owner himself told me he would come in early so we could have the highest chance of them surging and he came in at 7:30am when they open at 11. Packed them up for us and gave us a foam cooler + insulated ice pack so they could be more regulated and explained I need to keep the car a good temperature so they have the best chances of surging this long drive. Great place if I’m ever in Daytona and get my dad mo

Honestly a really nice store. The staff is very nice. It was a good store to walk around and they had axolotls which I didn’t see many fish stores carry, especially in the surrounding area. ❀️

Super nice store with an awesome selection. Nick was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely friendly, which made the whole visit even better. They have an amazing variety of products β€” both saltwater and freshwater, tanks and stands, even turtles! β€” we will definitely be coming back again.

I don't go to fish stores often as I breed everything from guppies to L-046 and belong to 4 aquarium clubs. I live in Orlando. I was in Daytona so I stopped. Very nice store good prices for retail. I had to hunt someone down for help. There were 3 people behind the counter. They had 1 chocolate Molly I wanted. They said they were keeping it to breed. I doubt they will provide adequate space to raise Molly fry. Since they wouldn't sell to me I left and I won't be back. Photos are my fish at home

Was extremely excited to see this store. Even bought some plants the second day we came back to get some before we left for home. After the trip, the clippings we got were full of planaria and other creatures I am trying to identify. Just disappointed to get home and see planaria in our clippings we got after driving across two states. I’ll try to give an update after I try to get rid of the planaria, but it seems like an expensive fix right now. If everything goes well, I’ll update the rating. I do want to say there was a great variety, the lower score is only because of the planaria and truthfully I’m not even sure if they knew they had them.
